Abstract Brazil has struggled to preserve the historical and cultural heritage housed in its museums. According to experts, the issue is not just about funding but also a lack of preparedness for adopting new technologies.

The article published by DW highlights efforts to explore how AI can contribute to preserving Brazilian cultural heritage, as well as the initiatives led by a research group from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Unicamp. It features contributions from Professor Dalton from the University of Brasília, Professor Thainá Castro Costa Figueiredo from UFSC, and myself.
